Portia is a doer. She has to get out in the morning and walk the dog, then she has to help me make breakfast and get herself dressed. She is my independent lady. Portia is almost 2 and already ready to be a big girl, asserting herself and letting me know she can do everything on her own. Sometimes I wish that meant she would let me get her a straw and not spill all her juice or decide she can change her own diaper, but it's nice to have a little kid help me pull the garbage bags out at night. It's nice to have someone get excited about a chore I hate to do.
