This winter has been bitterly cold. We have had colds, ear infections and coughs so this family has spent a lot of December and early January inside drinking hot chocolate. Every once in a while though we make it outside.
It takes forever to convince Zelda to put on her snowsuit and then it takes forever to find all the mittens, the hats (it has to be either the Elmo hat or the striped out) and the boots. Once we get outside, it can be really special. Peter always finds something magical to do: climb a haystack, collect snowballs to live in our freezer or play soccer in big fields. We always reward ourselves when we come back in, lots of cocoa with really big marshmallows.
