It has been too hot this week. My little beans and I come home from the playground dripping with sweat and smelling of sunscreen. I used to think the heat didn't get to them, but today Zelda lay down on the cold tile of the kitchen and told me she doesn't want to go outside anymore. We still ventured out to Pier 1 and had a hot picnic under the trees. Then as a reward we all came home, blasted the air conditioning and watched the cartoon, Madagascar. Zelda asked me to turn it off once when it got a little scary (Alex, the lion, is captured by hunters) but at the end she asked for more. Good thing there are 2 sequels to watch, I could see us having another air conditioned movie afternoon again very soon.
