My oldest is already rebelling. Just yesterday she woke up and decided she was no longer Zelda Rosen. Today and yesterday she has been pointing to herself emphatically declaring, 'I'm Nina'. I don't know where this name came from but the little girl I used to call Zelda will now correct you if you use her old name. I don't know whether to play along or try to convince her that Zelda is a truly great name. Plus I'm not entirely sure she is always saying Nina, sometimes it sounds more like Mena or Dina. I like all three. It's funny, I always thought that if she could pick her own name at the age of 2 it would be something like Elmo.
